my girlfriend dropped her retainer in the toilet on her 21st birthday. Heh, and the toilet happened to be clogged really bad. Its a good thing she was wasted cause I sure as hell wasnt going to get it out for her, so she got it herself.

I've dropped toenail clippers in a couple times. if the bowl is clean, I don't see the big deal about retreiving them (though of course I wash my hands and the clippers immediately afterward).

Yup, I've dropped nail clippers in there too....I don't see why people make such a big deal out of the toilet.....as long as it's just regular water, who cares? Dip. Pick up item. Wash hands. </end>

After taking a faily uneventful dump the right lens of my glasses popped off and fell into the toliet. It was one of those wierd things where I guess I was sitting in too relaxed a position and there was room for the lens to slip into the toliet as I did a minor adjustment.
I was on vacation away from my spare pair, I'm completly blind without my glasses, was swearing to high heaven. Then I saw with my left eye the lens barely visible in the toliet in fair proximty to a pooper. THANK GOD I DID A COURTESY FLUSH BEFOREHAND. I looked around for somthing to fish it out with. Couldn't find anything, so I grabbed a plastic bag that didn't seem to have any holes. And quickly plunged my arm in.
It worked great! My arm stayed completely dry and I was able to get my lens and set it back in my frame.... after soaking the lens in antibacterial soapy water and throughly cleaning it of course 😉
