I thought this awful, terrible, whitewash look died out a year or two ago.
The same old "it's white, so it's clean!!!!" look, it's awful.
There's a huge lack of shade / grey / darkness/ DIVIDING LINES / data separation stuff.
Everything looks all the same it's all one big giant white mess.
Having a "complicated" and "noisy" page isn't a bad thing, because people can see the DIFFERENCE between stuff.
I'm looking at this, up the top "Mark Forums Read Search Forums Watched Forums" - - that's off white text on an off white background (and I'm on an IPS, let alone poor TN users!)
Then there's no | between them - no box, no shape, it's just all stuck together.
This look is bad, it's awful, I've been against this look for years and (finally!?) places had stopped doing it it seemed a while ago, why is Anandtech implementing this kind of look now? This is very 2011.
