first time in over 8 years these teams have traded...and the last trade =
Sept. 17, 1993, when the Yankees traded Frank Tanana for minor league pitcher Kenny Greer.

I'm still undecided whether this is a good deal or not for the Mets. However, it definitely does fill the needs of both teams. Ventura is prob. the better player, cuz his a great 3rd baseman defensively, but of course, his salary is $1mil. higher. I'm guessing Zeile's moving to third, and maybe we'll get Tino Martinez? Even if the Mets keep Lawton, Shinjo, Justice as their outfield, it's not too bad. They could use a good starting pitcher, and god, I hope they trade that dumba$$ Benitez.
