What hardware is required to connect a laptop to a TV?

I know I've asked this question in the past, but I can't seem to find the thread I started so that's why I'm starting a new thread. Here's the question:

Does a device exist that can convert the VGA-out signal from a notebook (or any computer for that matter) to a regular TV signal?

What I'm looking for would have a VGA connector on one end and a RCA plug on the other end. Does such a device exist?

Yes there are many different ones out there. I've used Avermedia Averkey's (I think???) and they get the job done well. The picture quality is excellent. However, they are VERY unreliable. They were used at the HS I went to and I saw at least 4 die in less than a year. I would look for another brand if possible.

Great, thanks for the input guys. 😀

Stupid storm ripped up our power lines so I couldn't get back to my thread till now. Ah well, at least our power is finally back on. 🙂
