What hardware is compatible with Linux???

Where would one go to find a list of available hardware that is compatible with Linux? I've looked at company websites. But noone seems to list whether their compatible or not.

to put it as one simple word - "OLD"...

anything working with your PII and K6 will run Linux w/o much hassle...
except your winModem and USB plugin toys...

Please only say "Old" if you can back it up. Linux had support for ATA100 well before any M$ OS did. The main difficulty is getting the hardware to developers so it can become working. Epson is good about this with their USB scanners and so they generally work.

My Canon S100 digital camera works with Linux, my GeForce2 MX works with Linux. Neither can be considered 'old.' Linux supports a VERY broad range of hardware. From obscure network cards to amatuer radio stuff.

Anyone know if the Creative Live's works in Mandrake???? It's not on the list of there site but I thought it was supported.

the SB Live! is supported. Creative actually released the first drivers for it at opensource.creative.com
