What Hard Drive Enclosures/Cooler?

Hi guys,

I'm looking for a good hard driver silencer, and cooler at the same time. So far, I've find those two, the SilentMaxx HD-silencer, and the Nexus Drive-A-Way.

I've found some review about the SilentMaxx, doing a super good job. But I havn't found any review about the Nexus. Is any of you knowns where can I find a review about the Drive-A-Way?

The Nexus looks really nice..... Have you tried asking on the SPCR forums, you'll be more likely to get more informed answer there then here.

Also just so you're aware almost all of the noise you hear from your HD is due to vibrations being transmitted into the frame of your case do to hard mounting. If you suspend you're drive or soft mount it, it makes a pretty big difference. I have my hard drives mounted with these, I was pretty surprised in the difference they made.

My Antec case have already those things. They do very well the job. The sound I want to hide, isn't the vibration, in fact, I don't hear the vibration at all. Has for the SPCR forum, that'S a great idea.

It's not vibration per say. Any mechanical noise the drive makes gets transferred into the case and amplified. If your drives are already soft mounted I don't think a drive enclosure will accomplish much.
