. . . the Republicans still spend money on their pet projects like it's going out of style. I mean I know they play the game of pretending not to spend money, but I believe if you look at their side of the street, you'll see just as much pork barrel spending as with the Democrats.

I think that we are ultimately headed for the same triple the deficit bullcrap that Reagan and Bush pulled. . .:disgust:

Drat, and here I was all this time thinking that I needed to actually understand the facts and think about issues at hand before forming an opinion and stating it...... Why couldn't I have figured out sooner like noproblems that one should simply replace that complicated thought process with a simple and effective regurgitation-of-dumb-liberal-media-statements process?

All that wasted thinking...... ;)

noproblems, in many cases that's true: Rs are as spendthrifty as Ds and on stuff that benefits only a select group of individuals. They sneak in pork just the same as Ds.

However, the Rs at least chant the fiscal discipline mantra...Ds apart from making farting noises over a balanced budget...aren't as apt to cut wasteful spending.

But today neither Rs or Ds will do enough to reduce the hundreds of billions of dollars wasted each year (as determined by independent taxpayer unions and study groups). You would need a third-party to accomplish that.
