I think you meant to say locked cpu, in which case the previous response is correct!
 
No, I meant what I said.
Hypothetical:
I buy a factory unlocked cpu, but I don't know that it is unlocked. So I connect the L1 bridges, because I'm in a big hurry to overclock it and don't check it first, will this have any negative effects or effects at all upon the CPU?

The connectivity would already be there so you shouldn't have any problem unless you cross-connected the bridges with your handiwork.
