What happens when you post a 57MB video on AnandTech for 24 hours? How about 80 FREAKING GIGS of transfer?!

The host was a dual 100mb/s feed to a couple of GigE backbones, the guy running the host being a friend of mine. He said it was okay to spread the link around a little, so... Here's the damage caused over a 24 hour period.

Max In: 1574.1 kb/s (1.6%) Average In: 238.1 kb/s (0.2%) Current In: 131.4 kb/s (0.1%)
Max Out: 66.9 Mb/s (66.9%) Average Out: 5593.2 kb/s (5.6%) Current Out: 941.4 kb/s (0.9%)

80.1 GB daily total (went live around 2 AM).

And all I had to do was post the link in this thread and this one too. You people simply have no mercy. :beer::D

Edit: Let me add that if anyone is looking for a co-located server package with proven speed and reliability, contact ckirby AT solaristech DOT com and he'll see what he can work out for you.

Those halflife 2 videos I hosted a while ago killed my 100gb limit within hours.

So far its showing about 21 hits on the movie file so far. Not looking good for my bandwidth lol :)

np. I should just sign up another account for a pics service too......this stuff is kinda fun :) Just curious - is your pic gallery a phpnuke module? I'm running a simple CMS (Mambo) for my main site - there's only one pic module and it blows. Thinking of setting up phpnuke for a different site just to try it out, was curious about what you thought/do you have any insights

sully - Sorry the file was corrupt because there was insufficient disk space left. I increased it by 60MB. If you could please upload it again into public_html/sully/ thanks :)

Melvin - Careful you only have 28GB per month, with a 57MB file and "The AT Effect" that can be used within a matter of hours.

What ya need hosted?

Also, I don't think it's necessarily the AT effect than the "Internet" effect. If you look in your logs I would bet that you are getting hits from other than AnandTech.
