What happens when you get banned?

edit - actually, nothing happens except that you can't login or post, IIRC. If you're lucky, you get a mod edit.

Sometimes, you get nothing at all. Basically, when you return to the forums you aren't permitted to log in anymore (when you try, you get some sort of message that basically says you're banned).

Well, when Wduaqnug was banned, apparently for good, he got no mod edit, no email explanation, and the mods refuse to explain exactly what he did to deserve it. He was *NOT* automatically logged out, and was able to lurk, logged in. Once he got logged out (suspect it happened during the blackout last month), he couldn't log back in. He still doesn't know what he did to get permanently banned.

When I got banned it was an e-maiol saying I've been given a one week vacation by the mods and couldn't log in. I actually had to e-mail to tell them the ban was over, hehe

I'm under the impression that he did that and they ignored him.

I think that e-mail address is read by several people so you get a different answer all the time if you get a response at all. I got an explanation on my last ban and both did not match one another's explanation.

I don't believe that is correct. I was given a vacation, and was notified by e-mail, but I was still logged in and able to post. I logged out myself.
