Wouldn't it be nice if there was a heaven where we could see the loved ones we lost and in time the ones we left behind? Wouldn't it be swell if there was a soul that lived on for eternity with all our living thoughts and feelings throughout life so that we could always have them to cherish and hold? Do I believe in any of that stuff? Obviously no. Do I wish they existed? Absolutely yes. One thing has nothing to do with the other though, just because I hope, wish or pray for them to be real, I refuse to delude my inherited ideals and feelings by trying to trick myself into thinking they exist. I'm an extreme realist, I recognize that life is imperfect and limited for each of us. I never lost an immediate loved one in my lifetime so far thankfully, but I do realize the time will come when I do. Will I be depressed then? Whether they have a soul and went to heaven or not, you're damn right I will be. But in time, I'll realize that they went to an ever better place then heaven... limbo, nowhere, they don't exist anymore! They go to sleep, and never wake up, and that my friend is euphoria if you ask me. To have a conscious is to be human, you need one to interact with people and objects throughout life, if you die you cease to have one anymore because it's unneeded, and with no brain functionality it's a good thing you don't need it either. I admit, it may seem like a horrible outlook to have on life, but for me it's the only outlook. We are not "special". There is no godly force looking out for us when we die (even if a God exists or not, another story all together). Again, do I wish there was, of course. I'll miss the people I love when they die and I'm sure they'll miss me. I just think it's better and more sensible that when we die, we surrender all knowledge of life and the memories we have from it, and just peacefully remain one with the universe like our ancestors. We'll never get to sit down and converse with them in a heavenly place, but we'll still be together once again in that form.

well every body has energy. and energy never disappears, it only lowers its power. so where does that energy go? and scietific studies have shown that when a person dies, he loses 3 grams of his weight. w00t?

People deficate when they die. Maybe that 3 grams is what you poop out.
