That'd be a shame since they were the best team and program by far over the last 3 years.

Two out of 3 years.
Over the 3 years they did.

Oh please.. Texas was just as good as a team as them for the past 2 years.. USC has such an easy schedule year in and year out.. the Entire pac10 is a joke to football.
Well at least according to you. However those who actually know about these things, you know the experts like sportswriters and coaches around the country, disagree with you.

Sportswriters have an agenda just like everyone else. Please tell me you know this.
Yeah their agenda is to be taken seriously and to be taken seriously they need to be pretty accurate with their opinions. Besides it's not just the Sportwriters, it's also the coaches whose opinions mean something unlike yours and mine.

Seriously USC and Notre Dame are faves of 98% of the writers out there.
the pac 10 does not have any real football schools..

have any of those teams come play the Big12 or the east and watch thier records go to hell..

thats the problem with College football.. in order to REALLY see whose best all the same divsion schools would need to play each other.. conferences just dont give an accurate skill of each school..
if you dont think some conferences are harder than others big12 being the hardest followed by the east and trailed by the pac wimps... I'm sorry Ill take a pac 12 schedule over any other conferance in the USA.. for ease of schedule..
A powerhouse year after year like Texas could mow over those academic pukes..

cal? stanford? UCLA? washington? oregon? USC?? omfg please...
compare.. Texas, Nebraska, Ohio state, Oklahoma.. all football powerhouse schools... thats all we live for..

hard to take any comment about college football seriously when you don't even MENTION the SEC as a powerhouse conference.

ok, a few things......

#1 - folks, get your heads out of your asses - USC won the National Champtionship 2 years in a row..BCS/AP, it doesn't fricken matter. There were co-national champions that year, get over it and move on...it's like 2nd graders fighting on a playground.

#2 - This had nothing to do with the recruitment of Reggie Bush to USC - please be informed before you post in a thread

#3 - USC had 2 potential QB's going into camp this fall - one of them was just suspended from school and is being charged with sexual assault.

#4 - Leinhart's dad, as well as Leinhart and Jarrett, his roomate, should have at least checked with USC to make sure their rent arrangement was legal under NCAA rules, but again, it had nothing to do with recruiting or getting these players to play at USC.

I think these incidents will be little more than a slap on the wrist for USC, as they should be, they were completely outside of the football team's knowledge/influence.

As for the conference hating, the fact of the matter is that the Pac 10 has not been a strong football conference over the past 5 years outside of USC....other teams have to have more than one good season consecutively, and it just hasn't happened in the Pac10. However, anyone saying that USC isn't good, or hasn't been dominant over the last 3 years, is kidding themselves.

The best NCAA football programs over the past 3 years have been USC, Texas, LSU, and Ohio State...and I'd say your top 5 for next year, right off the bat, is going to start with Ohio State and LSU - and yes, the media frenzy that always surrounds ND will probably have them in the top 5/6 too.

Yep, thanks to Texas's 3 point victory over them in last years game.

oh yah that makes it so much less of a victory..
you lost get the hell over it already.. by 100 points or 1 we beat you down.. and a hell of a game it was..
for you to try to cheapen the war that was that game is insulting.

Insulting? It was a great game between two great teams. I bet if they were to play 10 games it probabvly would end up 5 to 5 they were so evenly matched. IMO by discrediting USC you discredit Texas's win over them and in doing so you are insulting your team fanboy. IMO Texas was so good that they were able to beat another great team, one that was so dominating over the last 3 years, a great accomplishment even if it was only a 3 point victory

be taken seriously like the debacle of crowning last year's SC team the best team of all time, and then SC getting beat in their own backyard?

Says something about the Longhorns team that beat them.

The teams agreed to the terms of the BCS. When things didn't go their way, USC decided to call themselves the Co-champs.

Yup, like I said in my previous post in this thread, BCS = TRUE NCAA FOOTBALL CHAMP. I have nothing against USC but all the peat this peat that is getting old. Fact is, USC won once, NOT twice, LSU won that year <2003>.

Even withb that poibnt of view it still says a lot about USC's progran that they were the best over the last three years, runner up twice and Champions once. I still think USC would have beaten the snot out of LSU if they had played them for the Championship.

experts like sportswriters. haha i thought you'd be smarter than that.

i don't hear too many coaches talking about how tough the pac10 is, but then i don't live in cali so i guess i wouldn't. i don't hear much of anyone but usc fans saying how tough the pac10 is.

you aren't the best if you come in second. i know this is hard to understand, but try for our sake. you are starting to sound like an nvidia fanboy. "i make my own reality!"

"usc is so dominating. usc dominates!" yes, they dominated a weak conference. yay! this gave them a good record to get into some top bowl games, and yes they won a couple. and there are 10 other teams who could go undefeated with USC's schedule, but they prefer to play real teams who can compete with them.

I'm not doubting how great the team was; however, I think LSU's defense would've shut down USC. It would've been a classic battle.

.
I said the best overall for the last three years combined. They were the Co Champs in the Coacher's Poll in 04, the Champs in 06 in both the BCS and the Coaches Poll in 05 and runner up in 06. A different call by the coach or a tackle made instead of missed is what differentiated them from the Longhorns as Champs. Texas didn't miss the tackle or make the wrong call and that's what separates them from USC thus they were the well deserved Champs.

BTW I'm not a USC fan, I just admired their teams over the last 3 years. When they played Cal,Stanford and ND I rooted against them.
