In all probablility, nothing happens. the issuer probably doesn't comb the list of graduates for all the colleges in the world to find out which cardholders of theirs are graduating.
nothing from what ive found...i put down i'd be graduating in may of 03 when i signed up 2 years ago but didn't graduate then
my amex student blue card still works though
Like said...they have no prob charing you a high interest rate on a minimal card that your paying off i think its cheaper for them to deal with ya then cencel your account in the long run...
I think it depends on the card... i was looking around AMEX and theres a link that says "Graduate to a new card"... and it basically tells you to apply again.
My MBNA card upgraded me to platinum even if i havent graduated yet.
I have had a few credit cards from the beginning of college through graduation and nothing has happened... some of the credit cards actually got increased credit limits. So, if you keep a good credit, i'm pretty sure it could only be for the better.
