What happens to Quantum3D now?

Could be....

I would like to know if NVidia is going to use 3dfx's technology to pruduce dual and quad cards now....imagine an quad GF2GTS, NVidia could get into the really high end market with configs like that....

About a year ago, Quantum made a statement that they were NOT going to continue producing 3D video cards for PCs. So, I don't think this will affect Quantum. However, the patents they are using from 3dfx....I am not sure if they OWN the rights or if they will have to start working with NVIDIA. If they did start working with NVIDIA, then that would be a GREAT step for them.

Yes Quantum still owns thoose rights since they where sold to Quantum before Nvidia came. Actually I believe this is why 3dfx sold the tech for this.... They knew what was happening and this was one way of cutting their loses just like selling off to Nvidia does.

I'm pretty sure 3dfx still has a huge inventory of VSA's left. They'll continue to sell them off "while supplies last". Perhaps Quantum will end up with some of 'em.
