owned.
edit: how does the dog bite a finger unless he's reaching out in a way he shouldn't be to it?
This also holds true if your dog is showing signs of aggression and the person approaches it anyway. They assumed the risk.
Unless he's holding his hands up over his head like he's trying to surrender, a dog could easily get to his fingers. Maybe he was going to knock on the door and the dog snuck around and bit him. Dogs are fast, sneaky, and they are strong for their size.
i suppose. i was just thinking what i was taught in elementary school. approaching a dog is always fist out, so the dog can't bite a finger exclusively. they'd have to get their mouth around your entire fist, which would be more difficult.
What if you are incapable of knowing if the dog is showing signs of aggression? Would a small child, who doesn't know what an aggressive dog is, assume the risk if they approached an angry dog?

Well, it's in the UK, so the Fedex Guy probably has to pay for vet bills for the dog, and probably has to pay reparations to the dog's owner.
Assume you are the delivery guy and got bit by the dog in their property. Do you have any grounds?
