heheh, they aren't supposed to be.... I've had that happen twice though, when I opened an egg and inside was an embryo (already dead of course). Not sure how it happened but it was pretty gross.

We used to raise our own chickens and had plentyof fertilized eggs. You get used to the crunchiness after awhile.
