What happens if I plug a 2.8ghz cpu (800mhz) in a mobo that supports 533mhz?

I have a machine that might have a defect processor (a P4 with 533 fsb) and this is the maximum supported speed of the motherboard. I have another cpu too, but it is a P4 2.8ghz with 800mhz fsb.

My question of course is if I risk damaging anything if I plug my 800mhz cpu in the 533 mhz motherboard.... The are both socket 478.

Thank you for your answer....

If I do the opposite (plug the 533fsb cpu in the 800mhz mobo)...

Will that too run at 533mhz?
