What happens if I am in Canada

How in the world am I supposed to come back to the United States?

There is always a chance of me getting robbed or even a chance of me losing this very valuable information.

By the way I am entering via birth certificate and not a passport. Just want to cover my ground and prepare for the worst.

if you can make it to a US embassy, they will take care of you,
though there might be a wait.

there's been a surge in robberies of American tourists in
Northern Baja, Mexico, lately. in one of the cases, the Americans
just made it to the American Consulate in Tijuana, completely
robbed. the Consulate helped them back across the border.

those personal documents are worth a lot. one place i stayed
in Canada, the building maintenance guy was going into apartments
and stealing passports. turned out he was Russian. the building
managers fired him, but they didn't say too much.
