Im not sure of what is going on here, but the 3000G(14nm) stock in general is low, had been hard to get for a few months now, but im also thinking about, what happened with the new DALI variants, the 2/4 3050G, and 4/4 3150GE/3150G? These new Athlons are 12nm, not 7nm, and had been annouced 5 months ago.

Probably all gone to OEMs. I doubt that parts like this are a big deal in the DIY market.

Why would you be surprised? At Newegg out of 76 Ryzen cpu's that they currently sell only 3 are currently in stock.

Well i was not really talking about Newegg, but i did check it out too, a 12nm shortage is really unexpected, specially as most people seems to belive that APUs are a small market.

To give you some idea, i have a easier time getting 4350Gs and 4650Gs that im not supposed to get at all. I have no confirmation as no one on the official supply chain are able to tell me what is going on, but i got this feeling that the 3000G(14nm) was phased out in favor of the Dali variants and at the same time they had to ramp up Picasso due to Renoir being in high demand and delayed and may even cancelled for the DIY market, and they now have a shortage of 12nm as well...

Besides the flow of stock, a lot of people are buying the cheapest CPUs they can for their new build while they wait for stock. So a cheap $50 APU that can do most everything is a near autobuy for most people.

Very best,
