What happened to Xbox360 sticky in FS/FT?

Since the xbox 360 launch a few months ago, there's been a sticky in the FS/FT stating that posts in that forum regarding buying or selling the console itself would not be allowed...

Now the sticky is gone... is the ban still in effect?
 
I can go to any number of stores and pick up a premium without much trouble.

Think the sticky served it's purpose.
