What happened to TLC? (The TV channel)

I remember it used to be a cool channel similar to Discovery Channel that had science shows, nature shows, technology shows, etc.

Lately all of their programming seems to fall into one of the following categories:

1. Reality relationship shows. Weddings, dating, babies, etc..
2. Home design. Trading Spaces, While You Were Out, etc.
3. Fashion. What Not To Wear, etc.
4. Reality medical shows. Surgeries, ER scenes, etc.

Where did the "learning" in The Learning Channel go? Luckily I have digital cable with the Science Channel so I still get to learn interesting info here and there, but it's still disturbing.

Moral of the story: Reality TV shows suck no matter what network they're on.

I guess they are trying to attract the average couch potato instead of the higher class desk chair potato like us.

it's what makes the money... screw learning if people want to watch a 7 hour marathon of live births!

That's Discovery Channel. They haven't sold out quite yet but they're getting there too.
