Good point. However, one of these groups has more legitimate grievances than the other. Guess which one... :colbert:

That's a matter of opinion and generalities. I side more ideologically with the tea party, whom leftists see as a bunch of rich white malcontented idiots astroturfed into a fake frenzy. Leftists side more ideologically with the Occupy movement, whom I see as a bunch of entitlement-minded idiots, indignant at the notion of having to work for anything.

Well, you have the Tea Party who have the following desires.
-No taxation. Wasn't there supposed to be something about representation here? ... Whatever, NO TAXATION RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE.
-Lower deficit and debt
-Don't decrease any of the government services I want.
-Government hands off my medicare and other government run services
-Basically every fiscal constradiction you can imagine.

While the OWS people ... basically just pissed off at how the financial sector abuses We the People (had to add that one for certain arachnids on here).

Admittadly the desire of the Tea Party are more fleshed out if almost completely contradictory. They want to spend less and tax less but don't want to lose anything that money or taxes go to. Also they hate teachers.

And the OWS people haven't really formed themselves as a party and are just pissed off currently. Once the OWS people actually get themselves organized, then perhaps we'll see what they can do.

The only time I visit ThinkProgress is when its linked to on here. Care to make any other ASSumptions?
What else should I do when you don't post or link details of what you're talking about when asked? Second request...I would like to see your source.

Really, why would Liberals rally with Conservatives?

For that matter, who has ever seen a conservative rally against the rich?

That would be cutting off ones own nose off to spite your face?

You bring up an excellent point:

It's not what the Tea Party is acting out on the tall but very narrow stage they built for themselves that's of great concern to their leaders.

More importantly, it's what they're NOT being dramatic about that reveals and defines their ostensible agenda. IRT the folks who actually finance and control the Tea Party, the cards they're laying on the table is actually diverting away from the cards they have have up their sleeves. The Tea Party, in effect, is protecting the rich with their sleight of hand rhetoric.

I'm just curious...What occupations have you held in your life? Clearly you don't have to tell me...I'm just wondering if you've ever had a truly difficult job in your life and are speaking from experience or if you just are on the bandwagon.

I want to know what happened to Obama's leadership. He hasn't shown much in 3 years. Who cares where a Party that holds few positions in government is doing.. lets talk about what the Potus is doing. If we held Obama to the same standards we hold the Tea Party, Herman Cain, Sarah Palin, etc.. this country might actually make some progress.
Sure, why not change every thread into a discussion of the POTUS?

You get accused of being a "leftist pinko Commie" because you act like one. Your favorite forum activity is engaging in partisan bitchery :p

There is a difference.

Well, I worked my first job at a gas station when I was 17, then I worked at a boat repair yard from when I was 19 until Katrina hit when I was 24. After the storm I came back home and worked as a waiter for about 6 months until I landed an administrative coordinator job at UNO. From there I worked my way up to a Database Manager for their alumni office and held that down until I was laid off last November (education budget cuts). I was unemployed until February of this year, when I took a job doing IT for immediately less pay, but I've been given a substantial raise since then to the extent that I'm making more now than I was at UNO.

What kind of job would you classify as truly difficult?

After getting a majority of Republicans elected to the House and shaving the margin in the Senate in 2010. My bet is the Teaparty is planning on winning the Senate in 2012, enlarging their House margin and taking a serious run at the Presidency. Just my guess since i'm not a Teaparty member.
