What happened to the radio shack TP? Ok now I need asIII

I used to use the radio shack Thermal paste and it was fairly decent but recently they switched it!!! It is really really crappy now!! My idle temps went up by about 3-4 degrees!! and the load temps are really bad. I think I need to break down and buy some ASIII, where is a good place to buy it cheap?

Also how well does it hold? I used to be able to hold little memory heatsinks on with the original thermal paste and never had a problem with them falling off, is ASIII about the same? I just would hate to void my warranty on things because I used thermal epoxy on stuff.........
