We saw it at CES in Jan. And then there were some previews given to some sites in Feb. Now it's May... has this hit the stores yet?

OCZ's marketing scheme on that one was and is to try and get a unit that is both affordable to most and not a 2 grand unit. They wanna try and do it for 300 bucks. Unfortunatley, like most things beyond stone aged air, you've got a choice. You can do it cheap or good, but not both!

IIRC, it was supposed to hit US as a test market in April. With absolutely no word about it, i would guess it was scrapped? someone should email OCZ, they are pretty good at disclosing info

The word I have directly fro the lips of an OCZ reseller is that the OCZ rep told him it's been shoved back in development because the contractor who sold them on this cheap and good quality fantasy produced a unit not good enough to emperil the OCZ name at this time. Apparently, when the test kit was assembled by the contractor in the presence of the OCZ people, it repeatedly broke off parts, leaked, was noisy and produced an oily smell. After more than a week of assembly time, the unit didn't substantially beat air cooling due to its small size and poor quality of both design and workmanship and it burned up the compressor in less than a day.

I asked if that finished the idea and he had apparently asked the OCZ rep the same question and the whole thing is "in developement" whatever that means. I'll easily wait. I'd rather have a right product or no product at all than the wrong part.

ROFLROFLROFL, your telling me that phase didnt get anywhere near the negitives??? That would be real nice, having a phase that performs like water cooling, yet draws 200-300W of electricty cooling it.

Well, this should be a lesson when something comes out like let's say for example... AGP X8... it had all kinds of promised stuff in the future, but little to none in the end. Same was and still is true of PCI-e. If a given technology is so great at a certain price, it just plain will be in most cases and the promises developers are making are getting close to displacing the 3 greatest lies out there.

1) The check is in the mail

2) No assembly required.

3) I promise not to come in your... whoops!, can't say that one here!
