What Happened to the Hot Deals Forum?

I pop in there occasionally, looking for deals on things I really don't need.

I noticed the traffic in there is horrible, so I popped over to another deal site. (Bulgingwallet) and there 3+ pages of deals posted in one day.

What happened to my beloved Hot Deals forum?

I miss my Hitchi monitor deals, Value America, Drugstore.com, etc.

I know those types of deals are long gone - but I am sad. :(

Hot Deals mostly died. I actually started coming here because of Hot Deals (though obviously I was a lurker, by my join date)

i was an avid hot dealer eons ago. then the mods banned you for posting coupon codes.
so i jumped ship to less hitler like environment deal forums

Coupon codes have been allowed for over a year now. Maybe it's time for an ATHD resurrection?

IIRC - Staples contacted the board and rattled their legal sword.

I still have a bunch of crap I bought from Value America.

Got some nice deals with them too...

Was it $45 GC that we got for the Hitachi monitor fm Buy.com for cancelling our orders...forgot already? Got a different handle that time.:p

I just have other options of finding the hot deals that when I come here I already know them. I am still intrigued by the free stuff though :)

definitely took a hit when coupon codes were banned

fatwallet and slickdeals kept developing, evolving and growing a userbase... how is a simple forum that cant keep posts in chronological order supposed to keep up?

Ahhh I can relate to the OP. I started my posting and nerfing career here at ATOT but was soon side-tracked at the Hot Deals forum. I can't even begin to tell you how much crap and money I spent becaus of that forum. Each day I come by and check it out only to see the same threads still ontop... its sad really. I'll have to check out this slickdeals website you all are raving about...
