A patch to add quicksaves should have been in the 1.1 patch - this is nuts to wait like this!

Heck if I know, and no word from Ubisoft on 1.2 since June 29th.

Not really anyone knows. It was "officially" scheduled to come out last Monday, July 5th. But, Crytek/Ubi never released it due to some bugs in it or something (this is all heresay). Since then, there has been no official word on it. Ubi is classic for leading on gamers about patches .

The 1.2 patch came out last week, but Crytek did a "recall" (first one I've heard that) of the patch due to technical issues. ATI cards got screwed

Far Cry patch 1.2 WAS released for about 2 days, then they un-released it. I have it downloaded, but am afraid to install because there were HUGE issues with ATI video cards and the patch. It also was messing up most peoples saved games. Removing the patch required a full re-install of FarCry as well...

You can probably still download the patch 1.2 from filerush.

Good luck installing it though. It might hose your system. Backup your save games first as well!

i used to really like FC but after 1.1 i got 15 fps on every setting. i finally dl'd 1.2 the other day for the hell of it and needless to say i was running high 1024res with fps ona 9800 pro, smooth as silk.

the new ati's got burned by the patch, i believe thats why they recalled it. they shouldnt have rushed the game out to beat doom3, their paying for it now.

The 1.2 Patch also screwed up game saves of Nvidia video card owners. Like myself.

I patched to 1.2 when it was out... right before I replaced the motherboard and had to reinstall windows due to a different hal, so I never got to test it out.

But yes, it was released and available for download.
