What happened to the Anti-gay marriage constitutional amendment? The ownership society? Fixing Social Security? Limiting medical liability? Balancing the budget?
I just think its interesting that nothing seems to be done at all on these issues.

I don't support Bushes views on most of these so for me its not a bad thing. However, it just seems that the Bush agenda is not being pushed anymore.

Is it because of the Plame affair? The war setbacks? The unpopularity of these policies? The desire not to act on these hot button issues so they can continue to be used as Republican campaign issues?

Sigh, politicians just tell us what we wanna hear. Nothing ever gets done unless it benefits them or their friends. Sadly we vote for them even though we don't trust them. If we truly had honest govt the whole system would prolly collapse.

The only reason border security is starting to get looked at is because the people have risen up and visible mouthpieces have been chanting for years that the border is a massive problem. If you believe in the war on terror, you have to stop the insane flow through the borders. Pretty shocking Bush didn't make that a priority in the first place, but hey, it's politics.

SS was set aside by fear mongering.

Bush was never for a constitutional ban on gay marriage, only that he felt if there was going to be a ban on it that a constitutional amendment should be passed, not allow the courts to dictate.
Medical liability should be a states issue and I dont think it has been address'd.
Balancing the budget we all know is a pipe dream. Even his own plan didnt balance the budget but instead cut the deficit in half by 2009. Tack on Katrina, Rita, and Wilma and forget seeing a reduction in the deficit this year.

George hasn't forgotten Social Security, did you hear him talking about it just the other day. He needs congressional support which he don't have right now.
