Yep. The police won the ebay auction and arranged to pick it up locally, but the guy never showed up and nothing significant happened after that.

thats what I heard. I know ebay HAPPILY works with law enforcement... so why that wasnt INSTANTLY traced to an IP and then traced through the ISP to make an arrest is beyond me...

Speaking of mustangs.... a BEAUTIFUL fox body 5.0 convertable rolled up next to me today in a parking lot and I talked to the owner for a while.... he had fewer miles than me!!!

I'm guessing this thread was spam-necro'd & then had that post deleted, but this reminds me of a story...a buddy moved to my state & had his Civic stolen. He got insurance reimbursement & moved on, then the police called him a few years later to let him know they had found it! It was returned to him & insurance let him keep it because it wasn't worth anything, but the best part was, it came back upgraded with racing seats & a full stereo setup, haha!
