Ok this is strange,
I turned on my computer this morning and its stuck at 60hz refresh, regardless of what I put my display settings to. It will say that its running 85hz, 75hz, 100hz, whatever I set it to when I select it, but it still flickers like 60mhz regardless. The ONLY way I have found to make it run at what I like is to force it by using powerstrip, but that is not compatible with some of the games I play- causes IPF's and system reboots for some lame reason. Ive removed all drivers from my inf, reg keys, etc. and set it up as a standard display adapter then reloaded Detonator 23.11 along with loading the inf and color files for my monitor- all with no luck. Tried dxdiag.exe to override refresh rate in games but it does not. Tried it as a standard monitor @75h but thats just not right. I mean it used to work fine. I dont want to have to format over this small problem...
I know its not that big of a deal but low refresh rate gives me migraine headaches out the wazoo and any normal methods to fix this annoyance have failed. Ive gone in and edited my registry keys concerning refresh rate with no luck sofar. Just wondering if this is something that anyone else has experienced and found a fix for before I just get fed up and format c:
Heres my system specs:
Abit Be6-2 Mobo
Celeron 900@1211mhz (133) w/Alpha 88828-c (yes at cpu default FSB it still flickers)
Evga Geforce 2 Ti200 64mb DDR 5ns using 23.11 drivers
Viewsonic PS 790 Professional 19"
512mb Cas2 133ram (2x256)
SB Live! 5.1 Digital
IBM Deskstar 7200rpm 40GB ATA 100 (pri- C:, E: )
Maxtor 7200rpm 20GB ATA 66 (sec- D: )
Lian-Li Pc 70 Aluminum Case
Raidmax 420w continuous PS
Any possible fixes that any of you may know of would be very helpful.... Thanks in advance!!!
