What happened to my monitor?

I just reset my computer after leaving it on for 30 hours and as soon as I enter Windows XP after I hear the welcome theme, my monitor blanks out...everything's blacked out & my monitor says NO SIGNAL..I haven't changed a single thing on my computer, I've been running the same setup (OCed opteron to 2.7 and OCed 7900GT to 650/1900) without problems..recently i've experimented with lowering my overclocks in an attempt to run STALKER without graphical artifacts but it's known that the artifacts are cause by bad drivers or some HDR glitch....so now I can't enter Windows desktop for more than 4 seconds before everything blanks out on me....

I'm in SAFE MODE typing this right now and it seems to run perfectly...

I've tried both DVI ports on my video card and they both don't work...

Don't have an extra DVI cable so I don't know if it's malfunctioning, but if it works in SAFE MODE, it should work in normal mode no?

Try running your video card in its stock settings.

I would but there's no way of changing it in SAFE MODE.

I'll try uninstallin the drivers...

Shoot, forgot about safe mode, does you motherboard have onboard video? or if you have a spare vid card to confirm that it is your video card thats causing the problem?

Press F8 as soon as you see the windows logo and then try booting from the last known working configuration. If this does not work, you have to try Restore and go back from the days before you OC'ed your video card. As for other info with artifacts, it's not always a driver problem especially when oc'ing. Artifacts in video display when oc'ing indicates you have exceeded the max safe oc'ing you can do with your video card. So you must step down your oc'ing one or two notch down to make sure you do not end up like what happened to you.
