What happened to my Citi Bank icon

I put a link to Citi Bank on my desktop. When I put this link on my desktop it has the Citi Bank icon, when I reboot the machine the icon changes to the explorer e icon.

Why does this happen?

Is there a way to keep the Citi Bank icon?

The default icon for a URL shortcut is the IE page icon. When you save a link from the browser, it uses the "favicon" that the website has set up (favicon is meant to make an icon appear in your favorites list beside the page name). When you reboot, such icons get cleared out for some reason sometimes, and probably will always be cleared out for any desktop icons.

Report it to Microsoft as a bug.
