Does Bitboys still exist? Their website still works but there's nothing there. Are we ever going to see this Glaze3D thing of their's? Thanks you guys. :)

LOL... Bitboys did their disapearing act just like they always do...
you didn't actually expect silicon did you?? hehehehehe ;)
I mean for them to even get an Alpha board out would be a HUGE Leap forward for these guys... Maybe these guys are PR guys and not engineer's like they say they are...
The next we'll hear from them is when they have their Next generation card ready for some more PR BS... LOL... and they'll claim again that they have a simulator of the chip running and quote some rediculous FPS figure that they say is acurate because their simulator is this amazingly accurate piece of HW...

To me these guys are just a bunch of PR guys with vivid imaginations and dreams....

They're still around. They postponed their product because they felt it wouldn't compete good enough with the advances other companies have made. They're beefing their goods up, supposedly. I still have faith that they will eventually release a product. :)

I was quite looking forward to seing the Glaze3D in action. Their idea of using embedded DRAM, I thought, was excellent. The thing had a 512 bit memory bus! If I remember correctly the RAM was clocked at 150 MHz which would have given it 9.6 GB/s of bandwidth, combined with a fillrate of 1.2 - 2.4 Gtexels/s (single or dual chip setup) it would have rocked a GF2. Oh well, I guess we'll just have to wait. Thanks guys. :)

I think we'll have to wait a LONG time before they can say "we will deliver".

I don't think you understand... Bitboys haven't produced anything in about 4 years... They produced some board called, correct me if I'm wrong, the 'Pyramid' to compete with the original Voodoo cards.... But it never went anywhere.... Since then, they have been full of piss and wind.... and have been quoting stats for there up and coming boards for years, and haven't given us squat...

They are the kings of empty promise releases, even above Diakatana... I wouldn't put my money on their stock...

I remember reading about the 'coming soon' Glaze3D a few years ago. Ha I'll be surprised if it ever does come out. If it does, I'm sure it will be good, after all this time it has to be ;)

after they issue press releases, which probably buys them additional financing from schmucks like Infineon, they vanish, just like their vaporware(paperware) products

They kept promising silicon by March 31st of this year... and sadly that day passed ;) wiht no sign of glaze at all.

I don't think we'll ever see it, until someone else hsa first done embedded dram... :)

Bitboys is just a property company like Rambus, they design something and then license it to other company's, because they are so new they have been having trouble finding someone to make those Glaze chips.

But they have made one thing, Enviromental Bump Mapping, that is their work. They sold it I think to Microsoft and then Matrox licensed it from Microsoft. Why does everyone allways forget that they made EMBM

I just bought Bitboys for $3, a pack of gum, a corona, and some pocket lint... :)

You should see the G3D board out in late 2759....
