What happened to Billy 'Wicked' Wilson from VoodooExtreme?

A few years back there was a tiff between him and Apache. He sold his part of VE and went off to start Gaming Groove and Groove Industries. I kinda stopped reading after he left, so i don't know what the status of VE3D is.

So he sold his part to Apache, who in turn sold the whole thing to IGN?

VE3D has been pretty much assimilated into IGN, making it non-existant. That's too bad, since I found it my primary source for gaming news ever since I got my first Diamond 3D Monster video card back in '97.

I wonder how much of Billy's drug addiction controls his life now.

I forget -- I think it's pain killers, but maybe Rush Limbaugh's recent admission to being addicted to pain killers is skewing my memory.

It was a big deal about three years ago -- during one of his "blah" posts that he did at the beginning of each day, Billy stated that he was going to see a doctor/rehab clinic to take care of a drug addiction that he had been facing for some time. He got a lot of support from the VE community, but I really don't know what the outcome was of his rehab. Some time later, Billy left VE and I haven't heard anything since. Of course, I don't keep up with the private lives of gaming site editors, so I don't know if he's clean or not. 😕
