my first pc was an amd k62 running on an aopen ax59 pro.
I remember the K6 days, AOpen was *HUGE* when K7 hit. That was back when we were using
slots for a CPU socket rather than pins. They made some decent enthusiest boards, but once we hit the GHZ range in processing they absolutely fell off the map.
While they did get Socket-A into the mix, they always used VIA chipsets which were as close to complete crap as you could ever buy at the time for the Athlon.
