What happened to all the Bit Torrent sites?

Yeah. It's strange that all the sites went down at around the same time... I mostly use torrentse and animesuki. Most of the stuff on animesuki can be found elsewhere though.
 
Too much unwanted publicity. It was only a matter of time before the MPAA was going to get involved.
 
The sites were submitted to an avalanche of DDOS, mostly because the BBC story three days ago about the quasi-DVD quality of "Matrix: Reloaded"... I guess whoever is directing the DDOS attacks doesn't care much about what people were actauly sharing through bittorrent.

And I don't have a direct link to the info, but I've seen this posted on some other forums I visit occasionally 😛, and I believe it's the correct explanation.
