What happened to 74min CDR's?

Seems like all the B&M's are not selling them any more. Everyone has the 80min only. I've had better luck and compatibility with the 74min and prefer only to use 80min for discs that require it.

I guess the market has changed though and nobody has a use for standard sized CD's.

Bummer.

True Silver 74 minute CDR's

I've had very good compatibility results with these. I have a 5+ year old CD player that refuses to play most CDR's, but it plays these without a hitch.

Available in 74 and 80 minute capacities, & reasonably priced.

Caveat?

They're only certified for 12X.

80min are the "standard" now. Before they were not as widely available, now you can find them just about anywhere from any company.

Best Buy / Staples / whoever are bound to still carry 74min CDs. If not, order them online.

my HP cd writer didnt support writing to 80 min cdrs, but I was able to find some hacked Sony firmware for it, and now it burns them just fine.
