Pathetic :(

I gotta agree with that last one. Blame lil'Billy :p

As a life-long Mac user turned PC by college major (Electrical Engineering Computer Science @ UC Berkeley) I can only thank GOD that MS released Win2k before I was forced to switch. Having worked troubleshooting computers for years, there is nothing I hate worse than MS OS'es pre win2k. Though not a "gamer" I do indulge myself every-do-often, but the FPS hit could be DOUBLED and still make win2k the obvious choice. It's called STABILITY, and let's not forget SPEED, and what about RESPONSIVENESS. These are all seriously lacking on win98 :(

Maximus I wish you my best, but in all honesty, I never knew anyone to whom I would actually say "buy a compaq next time" as that is the worst thing I can imagine, but to you--Buy a compaq next time. You clearly don't have enough fundamental understanding of computers to use a real one.

Here is what i wanted to say...

Win98se is more a mixed OS some 16bit/mostly 32bit. DOS was the last 16 bit only OS MS made.

Has for your problems GM, just because you do not know how to install win2k properly doesn't mean it is a bad OS. Your problem are user created and thats that. If you don't like then just sell your copy to someone who can make better use of it. Has for me I dual boot win2k and win ME. Win2k is a workhorse of an OS, and has had uptimes of weeks without a reboot. And I run a lot of apps at once. Such has photoshop, dreamweavor, bryce 4, office 2000, 3 different browsers, and 2 differnt IM cleints. Lets see you push win98 that far with out a crash. Also notice everyone else on here has no problems running win2k, and you do. What does that say about you? It doesn't amtter how long you been using computer and operatiing systems, you can still make mistakes. You have a obviously not install win2k properly. You are a minority group of people who have problems with it. Thats ok, eiter get rid of it or figure out the problems. But bitching and moaning to everyone on how is sucks does not help the fact you don't have a good install. Either ask for help or shut up.

Wow, GladiatorMaximus (Smallus Brainus) is soo much better then you all! He's much more l33t then joo all and can do much more. You should all ph33r him and what he says goes. If h3 says win2k sucks then it does and to say otherwise is unholy, immoral, and just plain wrong. He's far superior in many ways, for example, his ability to continue posting DISPITE the fact that he is obviously not liked around here. Only he can come back with witty remarks like "Now you're talking to yourself LOL go get a bag" You all wish you could be like him because he is better! Long live ignorance!

I wonder how long GM can stay in this forum...

you should first get a clue why people are talking against you and why your thread got locked.

BTW, just wondering, can anyone explain to me since when did Win2k become a hardware? :D
