What happend to performance improvement drivers from AMD and Nvidia?

I remembers 2012 and 2013 where both AMD and Nvidia were specific about there percentage improvement for New game release.Now both AMD and Nvidia do not provide any details on tweaks and performance improvement for the new game.It is just a Game Ready Driver from nvidia or Tweak driver from AMD but no details.

Cause they've probably squeezed out as much as they can from GCN and Maxwell.

Don't forget the incoming API's (DX12 & Vulkan) will be spreading their manpower & testbeds so they probably aren't focusing on boosting some already released game by 5% or whatever.

AMD releases beta drivers every month, and they nearly always have performance gains.

Just look at Fury benchmarks from launch, and compare them to benchmarks from the most recent beta. There is a pretty big performance gain.

Yeah, I'd guess the workforce is being spread thin in all camps by working on drivers for DX12, Vulkan and game-specific DX11 drivers

To be honest I put stability and bug fixes over performance, anything after those two is a bonus.

It was rare that you ever saw those percentage increases. They usually dealt with very specific setups, which rarely applied to you. Perhaps they got tired of all the backlash from people who didn't see those improvements they talked about.
