After loading crysis, my pc blue screened and then it refused to boot the hard drive.
This happened before but it was thundering out and I thought that it was a power surge.
Anywho I had to reinstall windows xp and now it refuses to overclock. Could this have been caused by a bad ram stick? I tried loading memtest and it just froze the pc. I also deleted everything in the %temp% before running the memtest.

My system:
Gigabyte p35 ds3l
e2040 was overclocked to 3.00gz
2x1 gb g.skill 800mhz
8600gt

All bought in january.

What Rhoxed said.

Test each stick in single channel mode to find out if there is a faulty one.

I am sure it is the E2140 = 1.60Ghz / 1MB of cache. Ram does seem like the probable cause so, process of elimination is so required. Do as they say, start with 1 stick at a time and find the culprit:)
