it's not, it turns into an exit lane and people will get into it 50 ft. before it ends (key being they know it ends) just to pass you at the red light.

just so you know, if you throw something and it comes reasonably close to injuring me i will not hesitate to run you off the road and/or shoot you.

Use your blinker. Thats what it's for. I dont care if traffic is moving at the speed of turtles, if you turn on your blinker, I'll let you in front of me, no problem. But I can tell when someone is trying to be an a$$ and speed up to cut in front of me. It wont happen, I'll leave a small space, smaller than your peepee between the car in front of me and my car.

yeah thats not what i'm talking about. alternate lane merging is when a 2 lane road becomes a one lane road. Everybody is alternating and forming single file when one guy thinks he doesnt have to follow the rules and follows right beind the car in front of him in the manner you described causing the car whos turn it was to merge over to potentially be in a dangerous spot on the road.

Oh, yea, I can't stand people that do that too.

Also, the people who drive in the emergency lane when traffic is backed up due to an accident, only to have to merge once they can't go any further.
