The answer is Evangelical Christianity.

In America, where even Protestant groups have lost 5.4 million members over the last decade, evangelicals have enjoyed a growth rate of 40 percent. They have become the largest religious force in the United States, with 26 percent of all believers...

This is wonderful news considering the disasterous consequences of facism and communism which had their roots in atheistic humanism.

Like I said in his other thread, rip seems to be returning to a policy of troll-and-running like he has in the past. Is it acceptable for people to post, not respond to replies, and recrap in another thread?

Do these people also believe in the Easter bunny and the Tooth Fairy? Does Rumpelstiltskin hide under their bed?

"I have often reflected, wistfully, on how much happier modern history might have been had Hitler been brought up as an atheist, an agnostic, or, at least, a Unitarian. Born and bred a Catholic, he grew up in a religion and in a culture that was anti-semitic, and in persecuting Jews, he repeatedly proclaimed he was doing the "Lord's work."

Riprorin:

Why are you avoiding answering a direct question about your lies?

Why did you pretend to not know the answer to the question you asked about the source of Kinsey's "multiple orgasm data" for young boys?

One of the ten commandments is, "Thou shalt not bear false witness". How do you justify lying?

Remember when religion was a personal expression of faith and spirituality? My "religion" is an important part of who I am, and it would be whether everyone agreed with me, or no one did. I feel sorry for those people who believe otherwise.

Fascism is fascism whether it has it's roots in atheism or evangelical Christian beliefs. I doubt the oppressed throughout history have been very impressed by the beliefs of their oppressors. Christianity has a long, sad history of oppression and terrorism. Only a fool would rather hide it than try to rise above it.

I think Rip, and the rest of his congregation, gets instructions from his church leader about what articles to post and even the text to write. Like sheep, they all do as they're instructed, mindlessly following orders. Have you noticed that periodically, when Riprorin is pressed to say what he actually believes in, he posts the exact same mission statement from his congregation?

You know, Rip is exactly the sort of person who could undergo a HUGE spiritual conversion to a rabid form of atheism. True believers tend to inhabit the extremes.

One has to wonder how this "act" is received in his real life? Must not go over too well as he sure has an abundance of time to troll these boards. Guess the "saving" market is not as lucrative as RIP is claiming it to be....

Hey Rip, I suggest you look up the term Atheistic Humanism. Read it a few times until you understand it, then come back here and apologize for being a complete dipsh!t in misusing the term.

In other news, studies show that stupidity has been increasing at a rate of 40%.

Truly enlightened and knowledgable people tend to respect others opinions, but disagree with their conclusions. Sheep are the ones who discard others opinions based on what little they know about someone from an internet forum, and act as though their opinion is the only one that is logical. Sheep may be too nice to describe you.. intolerant bigot fits better.

Hey, he's entitled to post his views, just like the rest of us. We're of course entitled to tell him how full of it he is, but still, let's be fair here.
