I quit using the traditonal hello a while ago. Now its mostly:

"PAB"
"This is PAB, how can I help you?"

If I know an AT'er is calling:
"OMG!!! OH NO! AIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!! NOOOOOO!O!OO!O!!!! "

:D

-PAB

If it's a number that I don't recognize, I answer it with "hello?"
If it's a number / person that I do recognize, I answer it with either "hello?" or "Yes?" or "hey..."

If I look and I notice that it's Viper GTS calling and I feel goofy enough, sometimes I'll answer it with "sup, bitch?"

On the regular phone, where there's no caller ID, usually "Hello?" If it's my cell, and I recognize the number or have it programmed into my phone book so it says who it is, I usually say "Speak."

On the rare occasions where I actually answer my phone (rather than get the machine to do it), I do so with a standard hello. However, some 12 years ago, when I was selling high performance auto parts at (now bankrupt) Super Shops, we used to have to answer with "Thank you for calling Super Shops, where we have BFGoodrich Radial T/A's on sale for as low as $39.95.." That was really, really ridiculous..

I generally use the standard hello. When I'm bored or in a playful mood, I answer with "ahoy?" It either makes people laugh or confuses the hell out of them, either of which work for me.

Hello if i'm awake. "hhmmmadhad..." or something if i'm not.

I did answer the phone with "Agent Nelson, IRS Audit Control" once when i knew it was a telemarketer (the dumb bastard called again on the same phone #). I never got bothered by that telemarketer again :)

Normal calls: "Hello?"
Telemarketer calls (you can tell alot of the time because theres a long pause before they pick up) : "Fsck you, a$$wad <click>"
