what GPU supports HVEC / x.265?

could you recommend any GPU card that has hardware decoder for HVEC / x.265 ?

As of today I think GTX750/750TI, GTX970, GTX980 and R9 285 if I am not mistaken.

Haswell/Broadwell got some hybrid support.

However only GTX970 and GTX980 got HDMI 2.0 if you want 60hz for a TV.

The problem is none of those GPUs support 10bpp HVEC:

Looks like the answer right now is nothing will do the job. Which sucks, I don't want to put a freaking quad core in a HTPC.

Nvidia needs to stop wasting time diddling with tablet chips no one wants and get this figured out and part of VDPAU.

looks like this HVEC might get in new GPU that might get to market in Q2 or Q3
and unless there are some 4k BD hardware, no incentive for GPU producers

The 285 does not unfortunately. It "only" supports 4K h264 decoding.

Now that we have a 4K Blu Ray standard Nvidia just needs to support that spec.
