What good stable MB for Duo core 2 setup?

I've beyond had it with GA-965-S3 cpu fan problems and am just looking for mid range stable motherboard to support with:

Intel Duo Core 2 E6600 cpu, 2 sticks of 1 gig DDR 800 Corsair, 700watt Gamestream PSU, GTS 8800, 2 WD sata raptor drives, IDE dvd rom, and Xi-fi fatality Soundcard.

Is there no fuss well reviewed board that is solid and well priced that just does duo core? Or other end of spectrum is there one abit future proof through quads alot folks like?

 
Well on a little more serious side, in my opinion 975X is the most stable platform. BadAxe 2, P5W-DH, DFI Infinity 975X would be top 3, and BadAxe gets the nod among those. But overall, I have been disappointed with the stability of Core 2 Duo motherboards so far. (of course under overclocked condition)
