Hi I was wondering if there is a big difference form the 4x to 8x. Is it going to be more common?

Well, AGP 8x doubles the bandwidth of AGP 4x (1.05GB/second) to 2.1GB/second between the videocard and system RAM and the CPU. But, games out right now don't even saturate the 4x AGP bus let alone the 8x AGP bus. That may change in the future but by then we'll be at 16x AGP (4.2GB/second). I hope this helps.:)

there's little performance difference, but the PR are having a field day with it
anyway, AGP 8x(AGP 3.0) will be the last of the AGP before it gets replaced by PCI Express

After AGP8x, PCI Express will be out. Initiallly running at 4-8gb/s and moving up to 16gb/s in the future(mainly for gfx cards though)
