What Gives??

I'm running a Abit BE-2 with a 800E chip, 300 ram. My video card is a ASUS 6600 deluxe. I have mediaone cable when I play Quake 3 my ping rates are around 100. I notice others are higher and yet I can't keep up with them, why. I'm I missing something?

Your ping is pretty good. How do you mean you can't keep up with them? Are you experiencing excessive lag?

Maybe it's lag. I fire at point blank and their gone before they are hit.
