what gives?sometimes power sometimes no,help please.Im going to have a nervous breakdown :(

brand new msi nforce board, 300 enermax ps,got it up and running but it is so fickle...if i even move it,nudge it,slighty...it doesnt get any juice,cpu fan spins up for a second then stops.if i jostle it,it starts up fine..mobo is been seated and reseated.
never had a mobo be this fickle..
am i over looking something?
same thing happend when i switch cd-roms today briefly :/
update:reseated eveything made sure all the contacts were in place,now getting no power whatsoever.
this pc is for my uncle and hes pressuring me...im seriously getting depressed over this./

any ideas?
 
I had a PC once just like this...I would turn it off at night, the next morning it wouldn't power on at all. I'd unplug the power cable, plug it back in and then it would work fine. I never even considered the motherboard power cable might have had a problem.
 
take everything out of the computer

put the mobo on an esd bag on top of a box
cpu/ram/video only installed

hook the power supply up (will have to just set the case next to the box)

turn on
