What give, router(s) question

OK, I have 3 routers, D-link, Netgear with Wireless, and a Airlink wireless. The airlink and d-link exhibit the same symptoms. I can set the PC to obtain an IP by DHCP, the PC will get the IP. IPconfig shows the gateway IP of 192.168.1.1 which is what the router default is.
Problem is, I can't get to the router config page by typing in the gateway address, it just times out. I can't ping the IP either. The Airlink(w/wireless) was working until this morning. Now The wireless is not detected at all on my machine with a wireless card. t will pick up my neighbors wireless network just fine. So i know that works. I can connect my cable modem straight to any PC and it works. So I know the NICs work.

The Netgear doesn't do squat, will not broadcast DHCP, will not ping if I set IP on PC to static.
I'm at my wits end here. How can I have 3 routers all having similar problems, that persists on multiple PC's that have never been connected to each other?
OMG I am soooo pissed right now. Resetting the routers doesn't do anyhting either.

OK, not really a question, more of a rant, sorry.

Tried wired and wireless. Wireless will only see my router by using Net Stumbler, otherwise I can't see it in windows.

I gave up, found out that my grandfather has cancer, so I just smashed all the routers to vent some. I'll just buy a new one next week.
