Meh...I get up and nef when that happens.

She refuses to watch sci-fi and war movies...I refuse to watch "girl shows."
We either compromise, or one of us gets on the computer and lets the other one watch what they want...
Look at my post count...see who wins in our house. :p

god damn. this is just like my situation. looks at post count....

for our living room, it's piles of Real Housewives (this shit is actually worse than Jersey Shore, if you can believe it), ghost shows, Oprah (NO MORE!), et al.

You're not the first person I've come across that draws a line with a TV in the bedroom.

Why?

I'm curious is all, my wife and I have a tv in the bedroom and my son does. Don't know what the problem would be.

the bedroom is for sex and sleep. nothing more.

that's why.

I agree, though I, and several of the ladies I've been with, read in the bedroom. I will never have a TV in there though.

I really go for Say Yes To The Dress. And the show I forget the name, but the one where a bunch of brides rate each other's weddings. Delightfully catty.

Catherine Bell is reason enough.

That's exactly how I got curious enough to hit play when I stumbled upon this show. Ironically I immediately got disappointed in her character in season 1 (although she got much better later on) but the stories and other characters hooked me real good.

Ugh, you too? I constantly walk in on Real Housewives of LA, Atlanta, Timbuktu, etc. and every time, I look at her and tell her I am embarrassed FOR her when she watches that crap. And that's just the tip of the iceberg -- in addition to all of the Real Housewives shows, we have the umpteen bazillion vampire shows, the occasional teeny show on ABC Family, Army Wives (I constantly laugh at this show, Catherine Bell notwithstanding), and any other girly crap you can think of. I'm sure I'm missing some from the list, too.

She watches a lot of cooking shows and I don't mind those since I like to eat. However, if I am watching a cooking show about making sammiches, am I watching a girly show? :awe:

I watch Hellcats with my GF and mildly enjoy it. It's made me laugh out loud more than a few times, the girly crap I can make fun of, and it's usually soon followed by a bunch of hot gymnasts jumping around in skimpy outfits. :)

I didn't realize Supernatural was considered girly, so I guess that is it for me then.

It's one of those on-the-edge shows. :p Man card is intact, but I wouldn't go admitting it in the manliest of manly bars!

I tried watching that for a little bit before I knew what it was. The main chick is hot and was also in the movie Easy A.

I watched Gilmore Girls and Felicity. Not sure why I watched Felicity, I guess because of the SO, but I thought the writing on Gilmore Girls was pretty darn good and I liked the show quite a bit.

Now there are none that I watch, aside from cooking shows, but I don't really count those.

KT

You're kidding, right? Gilmore Girls had some of the worst writing and acting I've seen on a television show since...ever.
Admit it...you watched the show just for Alexis Bledel.

I keep hoping someone will go postal and wipe out the Real Whores of Orange County/New York/Miami, etc. Some of the wimmenz are easy on the eyes...but I've yet to see a single one who is actually worth the air they breathe...Just a bunch of fucking wealthy attention whores.
Oprah may be done...but she's still not gone. Her show is in re-runs at its regular time...at least until the Fall when Dr. Oz takes over that slot.

Supernatural (since apparently it's girly...? according to others here).

It's the only TV series that I actually look forward to. I just buy the seasons on DVD when they go on sale, then watch that. Nothing on TV is good enough for me to actually sit down at a scheduled time, and I don't have a DVR.
