I hope nobody's getting tired of hearing about the Wii.. I did google for a Wii forum in hopes of finding an answer but I didn't find anything.

So I was wondering.. what Wii games should I pick up for my Mom?

I thought about Cooking Mama but it didn't seem to get very good reviews. (In fact, a lot of the games on the Wii get < 80% on gamerankings.com but I guess they can still be fun?)

And what should I pick up for my dad?

I'll probably pick up Tiger Woods Golf for him.

My mom's never played any games.. and the last game my dad played was Super Mario Bros.

I know there's Wii Sports.. but there's got to be more for the older generation.

Thanks.

Bowling for mom or tennis if she likes that.

Golf or football for dad if he likes those sports.

I probably should've put their age in.. which is in the fifties...

Mario Galaxy.. maybe... Guitar Hero.. probably not their choice of music. I'll probably pick them up for myself, haha, so they could give it a try.

I do like the other ideas, though. :)

Thanks.

Be cautious picking up third party titles for the Wii. Many of them are not quite up to par. They had a wave of Wii Sports clones come out that were just generally awful. Wii Sports was a quick demo of the capabilities and many of the clones were worse. It would be hard to guess what your parents enjoy but they might like a story-driven game such as Resident Evil. The Dr. series of games (forget the name) might appeal to them though it is a bit cheesy. Super Mario Galaxy is another option that has a variety of playing styles but I am not sure I would get that for my parents.

For older folks, Wii Play is a good bet too, mini-games like Wii Sports...

Rayman's Raving Rabbits is also good silly fun...
